Cholitas of Bolivia
Client
Personal Project
Type of Project
Cultural Photography
Location
La Paz, Bolivia
The Cholitas are an unmistakable part of everyday life in Bolivia. Recognized by their layered pollera skirts, bowler hats and distinctive style, they carry traditions that remain an important part of Bolivian identity.
This photographic and film collection offers a glimpse into their world, capturing the women as I encountered them along the streets of Bolivia.
